Do you need a photo booth if you’re already paying a photographer?
Short answer: We handle very different scopes of your big day. By default, you need a photographer more. A good vendor will say that, even if we don’t make a booking with you.
Book a photographer first because these two photo services are not the same. The gap between them and us is bigger than most couples realize, especially when they’re looking at their gallery a few weeks later after their wedding.
The Two Lenses Explained
Your photographer stays with you majority of the time as they should. They cannot be in two places at once. They will be able to snap some candid shots on occasion but their main role is perfection and frame worthy shots for generations to come.
Our role is fill the gap of entertainment while your photographer is busy with the most important role, capturing you. We memorialize all the goofy, imperfect, fridge magnet worthy photos of all of your guests. (and you too of course!)
There is just something about seeing photos of your guests who may have had a little too much by the end of the evening jump in front of the booth before last call.
So where do we fit into your day?
The hours your photographer can’t be in two places
A wedding day has gaps, not from anyone’s failure, but from simple physics and time. Your photographer is doing the most important job, so we step in and fill in the gaps for you.
Here’s what’s happening outside on the venue floor and and example of how 4 hours of booth time lands on it.

Our setup time isn’t on your clock. We start the 4 hour clock when you give us the green light.

We keep them entertained so the wait for the ceremony flies by. Your photographer will be busy setting up the perfect angles and shots for you to walk down the aisle.

This is the gap. You’re off taking post wedding portraits with your partner, select family members, and photographer during this crucial golden hour of the day.
This is where we shine. All of your guests (including those who arrived late or missed the actual ceremony) are all in one place, drinks in hand, and they can finally loosen their ties.

Toasts landed, dinner cleared, everyone relaxed. Your photographer is covering the atmosphere at large (or maybe taking a meal break)
We’re catching the small groups who wander over wanting a second round in the booth with that one cousin from out of town.

The final run before we close. Historically the best hour of the night with the wildest of photos being taken in the booth.
If your reception goes late into the evening, brides typically add on hours prior to booking (or wish they did)

Booth tear down happens after your 4 hours are up, not during them. We quietly exit and ensure a clean vendor area after our departure.
